Terms of use

These terms apply to the InkEx website and to enquiries sent through our contact form. By using the site, you agree to the conditions below and to the way we handle product information, orders and delivery.

Using this site without confusion

This website is provided for business use by InkEx, operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd. It covers refurbished ink cartridges, bulk ink refill systems, printhead care guidance and related support for offices, studios and print shops.

You may browse the site, submit an enquiry, request a quote and place an order where arrangements are made through our team. You may not use the site for unlawful activity, false ordering, copying of content without permission, or any attempt to interfere with normal site operation.

  • All content is meant for general product and service information.
  • Sending an enquiry does not form a binding agreement.
  • We may decline any request that is incomplete or unsuitable.

Orders, stock and the details on a quotation

Product descriptions, refill guidance and service notes are prepared to reflect practical working knowledge, but small differences can appear between listed information and the item finally supplied. Refurbished cartridges, refill kits, chip reset tools and empty return arrangements may vary by printer model, use case and stock availability.

An order only becomes final once the relevant details are confirmed by our team and accepted for processing. If a cartridge is refilled, reset or prepared for reuse, the buyer remains responsible for checking that the printer model, ink type and intended use are correct before printing a critical job.

  • Bulk ink options may include dye or pigment ink depending on the job.
  • Wide-format work often needs careful nozzle checks and colour balance control.
  • Leak checking and clean handling matter when empties are returned for reuse.

Use, maintenance and support notes

Ink systems need ordinary care. That includes correct installation, safe handling, proper storage and regular printhead attention where a machine sits idle for a while. If a nozzle pattern breaks up, if lines appear in the output or if a refill system behaves oddly, the printer may need cleaning, priming or a fresh inspection before use.

Advice from InkEx is guidance only. It does not replace the printer manual, technician diagnosis or the rules that apply to your own office, studio or production floor. Your team remains responsible for safe use, routine maintenance and final print decisions.

  • Keep cartridges upright and sealed until needed.
  • Do not mix ink types unless the system is designed for it.
  • Follow the printer’s own cleaning and alignment steps where required.

Delivery, collection and risk in transit

InkEx arranges courier delivery across South Africa, including Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. Delivery details, collection arrangements and any special handling notes are confirmed during the order process. Risk passes according to the agreed delivery method once the order leaves our control.

Check parcels on arrival before fitting cartridges or opening refill kits. If the outer packaging is damaged, or if seals appear disturbed, keep the items aside and report the matter through our contact form so it can be assessed against the order record.

Returns, empties and reusable parts

Some items can be reused, exchanged or returned under specific conditions. Empty cartridges sent back through the empty return programme must be reasonably clean, complete and suitable for handling. Spills, cracks and missing parts can limit reuse and may affect the outcome.

Refunds, replacements or credits are handled case by case according to the condition of the item, the service supplied and the product category involved. Items that have been installed, tampered with or contaminated may not qualify for return.

  • Keep original packaging where practical.
  • Return empties without loose ink residue where possible.
  • Do not send back used items without order reference details.

Liability limits and site changes

We take care with product information and support notes, but InkEx does not accept liability for loss caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unsuitable ink selection, ignored maintenance steps or reliance on information that is later updated. Business interruption, wasted media and printer damage caused by third-party handling remain outside our control unless the law says otherwise.

We may update these terms, product notes or site content when stock lines, service methods or legal requirements change. Continued use of the website after an update means the revised terms apply from that point onward.

If you have a formal query about these terms, please use our contact form on the contact page.
